Duties:
Responsible for monitoring and minimising the variability of wind noise performance on current production vehicle lines.

Be an in-plant representative for the wind noise attribute, acting as a voice of the customer in the manufacturing environment. The role is to detect where attribute performance could vary away from target (via objective measurement, subjective drive, static assessment/measurement, over checking build conformance to assembly process, etc.), perform initial root cause investigation and drive issues through to resolution with the relevant responsible areas. This role will liaise closely with core aeroacoustics team to understand future products entering plant launch and their critical attribute characteristics as well as ongoing quality actions on current products.

Skills:
- Experience of working in an automotive production plant quality role
- Experience applying engineering problem solving methadologies (six sigma / 8D / Root Cause Analysis) to complex issues
- Full driving licence and ability to subjectively assess driven attributes
- Experience of plant attributes (S&R / Wind Noise / Water Test) / NVH development and measurement / vehicle testing and assessment / automotive component development

Responsible for bringing spatial design to life through all human-made surroundings and settings. The role requires a background in architectural/interior and furniture design and knowledge of how to support built environment projects.

Key responsibilities
- Responsible for creating design content to bring the creative element all spatial design to life (experiences. Retail, events etc)
- Responsible for translating the essence of the brand, through compelling spatial projects that articulate and embed principles throughout built environments
- Engage and collaborate with external suppliers/agencies to ensure initial goal and requirements for all spatial projects are delivered.
- Support development of designs through conception, execution, prototyping and verification, whilst consistently working at pace.

- Consider global consistency, local relevance and desirability of each spatial project
- Ensure aesthetic integrity is maintained across all spatial projects

Duties:
The Propulsion Efficiency Engineer is responsible for supporting the Propulsion Engineering Division Lead Engineers and the Chapter Leader with data analysis, summaries and judgement to support the delivery of Propulsion Efficiency Attribute and Features across various vehicle architectures and powertrains. A Propulsion Efficiency Engineer’s scope of work spans the entire vehicle development cycle, contributing to targets definition, competitors benchmark analysis, management of attribute inputs and trades, vehicle development and sign off to brand DNA.

We are looking for a junior engineer to add to our dynamic and growing team, with specific focus on ICE, MHEV and PHEV programmes. The successful candidate will work on the continuous development and yearly updates of our lineup of vehicles with combustion engines, supporting the Lead Engineers in the delivery of Propulsion Efficiency. The role will focus mainly on the delivery of Fuel Economy on markets such as Japan, Gulf States, Mexico, Brazil, and several other Overseas countries which are subject to complex and specific regulation.

The successful candidate should be someone with good data analysis and reporting skills, able to read and understand Automotive Regulations as required, with the ability to learn and adapt fast, operating under fluid and tight deadlines, to support the timely delivery of Fuel Economy and Hybrid Range properties for a wide range of markets and products.

Main Responsibilities:
- The Propulsion Efficiency Engineer supports the definition of robust targets alongside Lead Engineers and AGILE Squads within the powertrain department.
- supports the delivery Propulsion Efficiency attribute targets on Model Year and/or Vehicle Lines.
- supports vehicle level testing at both virtual and physical property level as required.

The responsibilities include:
- To keep PED tools and documents up to date with the latest attribute metrics.
- To analyse test data to generate attribute status reports for each vehicle line, create meaningful comparison with historic data, compliance data and other vehicle lines.
- To calculate attribute status and robust declarable metrics.
- To support test and development activities as required by Lead Engineers and/or Chapter Leader.
- To interface with Powertrain Product Squads, Homologation and Certification Teams and Vehicle Engineering Teams as required.

Skills:
1. Must understand the physics behind vehicle efficiency, cycle energy demand, PHEV electric range, by academic knowledge or direct work experience.
2. Must have significant working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
3. Must have knowledge of requirements and standards reading, interpreting and writing.
4. Education; 1st degree in Automotive Engineering or equivalent
5. Driving Licence
6. Location – UK, Gaydon – must be able to sort out own travel
7. Experience in vehicle fuel economy declarations
8. Knowledge of fundamentals of statistics
