Vehicle Architecture Lead Engineer

Warwickshire - Up to £34/hr Ltd Co. - Type: Contract - Duration: 12 Months

Our premium brand Automotive client is currently recruiting for the following role:

Vehicle Architecture Lead Engineer - £34/hr (Inside IR35) - Warwickshire & Hybrid - 12 Months (potential for yearly renewal)

Duties

The position is responsible for the engineering integration process for vehicle architectures.

Responsibilities include:

- Design and develop the vehicle technical specifications and attributes across vehicle architectures

- Lead and resolve complex multifunctional engineering problems. Be able to balance competing attributes and requirements to define the optimum engineering solution.

- Analysis of current and future technologies and competitor products to ensure the future competitiveness of vehicle products by influencing client strategies

- Coaching, reviewing and delegating work to lower level professionals.

Skills and Experience

Essential:

- Knowledge of whole vehicle engineering and cross-functional vehicle systems

- Enthusiasm for vehicles and their development

- Strong communication skills and ability to interpret technical information

- Good IT literacy e.g.. ability to create and manage presentations and spreadsheets

- Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

- Previous experience of whole vehicle development and validation

- Previous experience of problem solving tools, e.g.. Six sigma methods

- Previous experience of leading technical issue resolution

Additional information:
This role is on a contract basis and is Inside IR35.
Hybrid working: The team is in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, plus others as and when required/agreed. A typical working week would be >50% in the office including all day Tuesdays and Thursdays.
